Education on Skis, Snowboards and Snowshoes ...could volunteering get any better?!?
Awesome volunteers, awesome program
If you enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing as well as meeting new people, this is a program for you. We need help from various members of the community to lead intepretive programs this winter. Extensive training is provided.
We discuss winter ecology, watershed, public lands and natural/cultural history with resort guests and program participants mid-December through March each year. On skis and snowboards, our program runs at Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude. On Snowshoes, we lead various tours throughout Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon.
Ski and snowboard volunteers receive a free pass the day they volunteer at the resort to which they are assigned.
