Educational programs
Our style of education is fun... and did we forget to say FREE!?!
Our programs run year round and go out on snowshoes, skis, snowboards and foot. Led by our volunteers, staff and interns, on our tours, we discuss almost anything interesting: watersheds ecology, constellations, owls, hummingbirds, tracking wildlife in the snow, wildflowers, tiger salmanders, public lands, moose, owls, pikas, bees, subnivean layers and more!
Our programs are always beginner friendly, no matter if you have never worn a pair of snowshoes or been in the mountains before.
For all of our programs, we would recommend that you dress appropriately for the weather wear approrpriate footwear (warm boots for the winter, sturdy walking shoes for the summer) and always (well, except maybe during our night programs) bring sunscreen and some water.
And perhaps, if you enjoy them so much and come on a ton of our programs, perhaps you could volunteer to help out with them!
