About The Cottonwood Canyons Foundation

Working together to get things done.

Our Mission: To continuously improve the environment of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons through stewardship and education programs.

This is accomplished by CCF aggressively partnering with concerned citizens, organizations such as the Wasatch-Cache National Forest, SLC Watershed, Alta, Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird and over 200 volunteers to conduct educational programs and environmental improvement projects. CCF is an independent, non-political, nonprofit foundation.

1) Sixty percent of Salt Lake Citys water supply comes from the canyons; so educating the citizenry to be good stewards of the canyons will preserve our future water supply for the region. Water quality is directly related to ecosystem health. CCF takes an active interest in maintaining the health of the Cottonwood Canyons.

2) The Cottonwood Canyons are a major venue for outdoor recreation and an economic engine for the Salt Lake City area. Protection and Sustainability of these natural resources results in a better quality of life for all of us.
